1. Getting into your catamaran photos
With the code in hand, type it on the home page or scan the QR on the wristband — the gallery opens with no account and no password. If you were in a group, you will usually share one gallery, so any one person's code is enough.
With no code, pick the date of the cruise and take a selfie on the find your photos page, and we match you against everyone photographed that day. Between the swimming and the dancing, a wristband goes missing easily on a boat, and this path exists for exactly that.
And if you would rather someone looked for you, message us on WhatsApp with the date, the beach the boat left from and roughly when you were photographed. Galleries are organized by trip and date.
| What you have | Where to go | What it needs |
|---|---|---|
| Wristband, QR card or code | The home page, or scan the QR | The code, and nothing else |
| Nothing but the date | The find your photos page | Your cruise date and a selfie |
| No code, no exact date | Rough date, departure beach and time |
2. Which catamarans carry a Goey photographer
Not all of them, and it is worth saying plainly. Our photographers ride on the Bávaro boat trips we work with and on the catamaran home from the Saona day trips we work with. If your catamaran was the ride back from Saona, the Saona Island photos guide covers the whole day, from the Natural Pool to the trip home.
There are catamarans we do not work on; the Marinarium boat from Cabeza de Toro is one. If your boat had no photographer of ours, there will be no gallery of you from that day — but a private shoot can be arranged in advance on the custom trips page.
3. What gets photographed on board
A catamaran cruise is music, an open bar, a snorkel stop on the reef and a natural pool where the sea is waist-deep far from shore. The boats launch from the Bávaro and Cabeza de Toro beaches and run a few hours along the coast. Our catamaran and party boat guide walks through it step by step.
Nearly every photo comes out of that route: the group in the natural pool, with turquoise water and the boat anchored behind; the snorkelling; and the dancing on the bow netting. The natural pool is the signature catamaran shot, because calm, bright water flatters everyone in it.
The photographer works with gear made to get wet, so they keep shooting through the spray on deck and at the natural pool. There is nothing to pose for and nothing to ask: the cruise is photographed as it happens, and you choose afterwards.
4. Your phone is better off in the bag
On a catamaran the deck gets wet, waves splash over the bow netting, and on almost every cruise a phone goes overboard. If you bring yours, keep it in a floating waterproof pouch on a lanyard; our guide to protecting your phone on the water explains how.
The other option is to leave it in your bag and enjoy the sail. This is exactly the day it pays to let someone else take the pictures: you swim and dance, and the photos come back dry and in full resolution.
5. What is inside your gallery
You see every photo before deciding anything, with no pressure on the boat, and keep the whole set or just a few. What it costs is on the pricing page, and you pay by card or PayPal.
Once you pay, the photos download in full resolution with no watermark, and a backup link arrives by email and WhatsApp so you never lose access.
If you would like a photo on paper, the gallery also offers printed keepsakes, such as a framed print or a hardcover album, which we hand-deliver in Punta Cana before you fly home or ship to you. They are all on the keepsakes page.
And if you would rather see how a gallery works before buying anything, there is an open sample gallery.
Frequently asked questions
- How do I get my catamaran photos from Punta Cana?
- Type the code from the wristband, the QR card or the link on the goey.do home page. With no code, pick the date of the cruise and take a selfie on the find your photos page, or message us on WhatsApp with the date, the departure beach and the time.
- Does every Punta Cana catamaran have a Goey photographer?
- No. We work on the Bávaro boat trips we partner with and on the catamaran home from the Saona day trips we work with. On other boats, such as the Marinarium trip, only a private shoot arranged in advance is possible.
- Do I have to buy the photos on the boat?
- No. You are given a code and look at the gallery later, at your own pace. You see every photo before paying and keep only the ones you want.
- We were a group — does everyone need their own code?
- Usually not. A group photographed together on the same cruise typically shares one gallery, so any code from the group opens everyone's photos.
- Are the downloaded photos watermarked?
- No. Previews inside the gallery are shown at reduced resolution, but every photo you download after paying is full resolution with no watermark.
