Marinarium
Snorkel with nurse sharks and stingrays off Cabeza de Toro

Marinarium is a half-day catamaran snorkelling cruise over the Cabeza de Toro reef near Bávaro, set in a small marine reserve where you swim safely with docile nurse sharks and barbless stingrays in a sheltered enclosure. After the in-water encounter the double-deck catamaran anchors at a waist-deep natural pool with a swim-up bar, and the deck turns festive with music and dancing on the way back. It's one of Punta Cana's most popular boat excursions and a fun, family-friendly one to be photographed on. Between the splashing, the snorkel masks and the party deck, getting your own clean shots is tough. Our photographers capture both the close marine encounters and the deck celebration — enjoyable year-round, with the clearest water in the calmer December-to-April months.
