About this trip
A Saona day trip that starts in Bayahíbe, the small fishing town on the Caribbean coast where the Saona boats leave from.
Bayahíbe was founded as a fishing village in 1874 and is now the main departure point for boats to Saona and the Natural Pool, right beside Cotubanamá National Park. From there the boats head to Saona's sheltered beaches, usually with a stop at the Natural Pool, on the way out or back, to stand in shallow, clear water among the starfish.
Our photographer rides along from the pier and shoots the day as it happens: families in the water, friends on the sand, everyone under the palms. The photos are in your gallery the next day.
