About this trip

An island day inside Cotubanamá National Park: out by boat from the coast, a stop in the waist-deep Natural Pool, and an afternoon on Saona's palm-lined Caribbean beaches.

Saona day trips usually leave from the pier at Bayahíbe, about 1 to 1.5 hours by road from Bávaro, and you are back 10 to 12 hours after pickup. On the way out or on the way back, boats anchor at the Natural Pool, the waist-deep sandbar where the starfish live.

On the island there is warm, calm water on the sheltered side, palm shade and time to do nothing at all. A Goey photographer is with the group the whole day, on the boat, in the pool and on the beach, and your gallery opens the day after with the code on your wristband or receipt.
