About this trip
A day on Saona Island in Cotubanamá National Park, with a stop in the shallow Natural Pool and an afternoon of calm Caribbean water and palm shade.
Most Saona trips leave by boat from Bayahíbe, a drive of about 1 to 1.5 hours from the Bávaro hotels, and usually stop at the Natural Pool on the way out or back, where you can stand in clear, knee- to waist-deep water among the starfish. On the island there are usually 3 to 4 hours for swimming, lying in the shade and lunch.
Our photographer follows the group through the whole day, so the pool, the beach and the easy moments in between all end up in your gallery, ready the next day.
