Punta Espada is an 18-hole, par-72 Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course that opened in 2006 on the coast of Cap Cana, about 30 to 40 minutes by road from the Bávaro hotels. Eight of its holes run along the Caribbean, over low cliffs and turquoise coves. It hosted the Champions Tour's Cap Cana Championship from 2008 to 2010 and ranks among the best courses in the Caribbean and Mexico: third on Golfweek's 2026 list. Visitors can book a tee time; a round takes about 4 to 5 hours, the green fee includes a cart and a caddie, who is mandatory, and the course sits inside gated Cap Cana. It plays year-round, with high-season rates from November to April; December to April is also the driest stretch, and morning tee times are cooler. No excursion we photograph comes here, so photos at Punta Espada are a private shoot, arranged in advance and subject to the club's permission.
