Evolution Park

Evolution Park is an adventure circuit out in the farmland behind the Punta Cana resort strip: zip-lines strung above the treetops, dune buggies and ATVs on rutted red-dirt tracks, and a fresh-water cenote to wash the mud off in. The buggy and ATV half-days here follow the standard Punta Cana adventure format — a convoy out through sugarcane and farmland, a stop at the cenote for a cold, clear swim that rinses off the worst of it, a pause at a typical Dominican house for coffee, cacao or rum, and a finish near the open Atlantic beach around Macao. Come expecting to be filthy from head to toe: that is the point of the excursion, not a flaw in it, so wear old clothes and closed shoes, never white and never flip-flops. It is also the excursion where your own phone is least use — it spends the morning sealed in a bag deep in a pocket, because dust and water get into everything. Our photographers ride the circuit with you and shoot from the zip-line platforms, the trackside and the cenote edge: the mud-splattered grins, the jump, the beach finish.
